Last Day of February, Spring has to be around the corner.

A little glimpse that spring is trying to creep in but winter is still holding strong.

Last year, during the beginning of fall when all the leaves were changing, I was blessed with an opportunity to see things from a higher spot (secret location). Here are some snaps from looking out and down.

Still Winter

It is still winter but the snow has melted. Spring is on the way which means...soon to be budding flowers to snap. I cannot wait. In the meantime here are two more winter snaps. The first one is of power lines in the field. I love how perfectly in order power lines are. If you can get up to them just right you can look down many of them. That is my next image goal...just have not had the courage to stop off on the side of the interstate to attempt that. 

Here is another winter snap. I like the look of the old sheds and their colors. It just popped out against the white of the snow. 

Some where warm

I often visit Arizona. It is beautiful and warm there. Here are some snaps from one of my visits in 2009.

San Fran

I went to San Francisco and Northern California two summers ago. It is a whole different world there. The architecture and the landscape is just amazing. Not to mention the red woods. It is crazy to believe that these trees have been around that long! Here are few images from that trip and a link to more Northern California

Last Year about this time...

I looked over my pictures from around this time last year and thought I would share a few snaps. Here are two from the end of January 2010. Looks like we had an ice/snow storm. The usual January weather.

Then there is this one from the beginning of January. I think I was just messing around with different editing options to make this slightly snowed on tree look different. I think I succeeded. 

Here are three from February, one year ago from today. 

I was attempting to capture freshly falling snowflakes. 

But then I start thinking who wants to think anymore about Winter when this is shining today. 

Here is to more sun to melt all that snow. 

A Look Back

I like to look back on my old photos that I snapped with a very low mega pixel point and shoot camera. It was my pride and joy. I had upgraded from disposals and free refill film cameras to a digital. I think the camera was 3 or maybe even 5 mega pixels. At the time I didn't care I just snapped and snapped some more. Here are some of my quick snaps from many years ago. It is so funny to see how I tried to get a snap easily and did not really pay attention to the camera tilting or the angle I captured, I just loved snapping. I think I might have grown up (slightly)!
